Access For All portal

Access For All aims at providing an overview of the most relevant projects dealing with people with disabilities and their needs. These range from private initiatives to those partially funded by e.g. the European Commission under the Framework Programmes, Leonardo da Vinci Programme, etc.

e-Learning environment 1

ATutor is the most accessible e-learning environment worldwide, and is used by PhoenixKM throughout its activities to offer an easy, user friendly but above all accessible online learning experience. Soon free courses will be made available as well.

e-Learning environment 2

PhoenixKM also offers as part of its services a Moodle e-learning environment, supporting a number of organisations in establishing their online learning environment.

PhoenixKM to coordinate new VIRGIN LLP project

PhoenixKM will be coordinator of a new Lifelong Learning Programme project under the sub-programme KA3 ICT, entitled ViPi (Virtual portal for ImpaiRed Groups Interaction) that is scheduled to start on 1st January 2011.
ViPi platform has as core objective to support people with disabilities (PwD) in enhancing their basket of skills needed to improve their position on the regular labour market and heightening their chances of employment. Since ViPi platform aims to encompass and offer a wide range of learning objects (LOs), and specifically with focus on Basic ICT skills (see Lisbon Objective on digital literacy), ViPi platform aims to become the one-stop-shop community for both trainees (PwD) and trainers.

To ensure this, ViPi will offer a combined set of:
- accessible, innovative and Web 2.0 enriched tools and environments (portal, community, learning environment)
- free access to trainers, trainees and content providers and developers to LOs repositories to compile their own creative eportfolios
- supported with innovative serious games and mobile applications that embrace both Web 2.0 social services, and that potentially can be expanded with web 3.0 (semantic web) aspects to allow a better categorisation.

PhoenixKM staff supports project management for Framework Programme 6 and 7 projects

Staff of PhoenixKM is successfully involved in managing a number of FP 6 and 7 projects, such as ENABLE, OASIS, AEGIS, ACCESSIBLE and VERITAS on behalf of Belgian and Bulgarian organisations.

PhoenixKM external evaluator of GOET project

PhoenixKM successfully tendered for the GOET project, funded under the Leonardo da Vinci Life Long Learning Programme. GOET's concrete aims and objectives are to support the acquisition and use of knowledge skills and qualifications to facilitate personal development in developing a curriculum, and producing tangible results of a suite of accessible VET Serious Games with embedded learning objectives in Basic Skills, Personal Development and Employment Preparation.
