Access For All aims at providing an overview of the most relevant projects dealing with people with disabilities and their needs. These range from private initiatives to those partially funded by e.g. the European Commission under the Framework Programmes, Leonardo da Vinci Programme, etc.
ATutor is the most accessible e-learning environment worldwide, and is used by PhoenixKM throughout its activities to offer an easy, user friendly but above all accessible online learning experience. Soon free courses will be made available as well.
PhoenixKM also offers as part of its services a Moodle e-learning environment, supporting a number of organisations in establishing their online learning environment.
The EC funded ATLEC (Assistive Technology Learning Through A Unified Curriculum - 518229-LLP-1-2011-1-UK-LEONARDO-LMP) project, coordinated by PhoenixKM, and contracted by Oak field School and Sports College (UK) organises its kick-off meeting on 16-17/01/2012 in Nottingham, UK. More information will soon be available via the project website.

PhoenixKM attended the kick-off meeting of the e-Mentoring (European Mentoring Network for Disadvantaged Adults) project in Istanbul, Turkey, on 12-13 December 2011.
The e-Mentoring project will focus on mentoring supported by ICT (main role of PhoenixKM is in developing the platform which will support this, and running a pilot in Flanders). The approach for improvement in quality of VET for mentoring with ICT in this project is the increased co-operation between VET providers and all their stakeholders (employers, personal assistants, VET-providers).
The project has partners from Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, United Kingdom and Turkey.

PhoenixKM organised the workshop "Toegankelijkheid voor een eindgebruiker start met uw tekst!" at the "Symposium 18 November 2011 - Inclusief Creatief Technologie" in Leuven, Belgium.
In this workshop we looked at how OpenOffice / LibreOffice / Word documents and presentations can be made accessible, and how they can serve as a basis for accessible PDFs, Braille and DAISY books. This training was organised via a step-by-step approach in both Libre Office and Office 2007/2010.
